Book Giveaway!

Source
The kind people at David C Cook have donated one of my favorite books, A Place of Healing: Wrestling with the Mysteries of Suffering, Pain, and God's Sovereignty by Joni Eareckson Tada to give away on my blog!

I have blogged about this book on several occasions and have found it to be one of the most encouraging and truth-filled books on suffering I have ever read! Joni E. Tada, founder of Joni and Friends, has held firmly to God's sovereignty and goodness despite great suffering on this Earth. She has lived with quadriplegia for 45 years and has endured chronic pain and most recently breast cancer. While Joni shares a lot of her personal suffering with chronic pain and disability, the truths in this book would greatly benefit any reader.

  1. I really want to share the title of a book that has been very helpful for me...it is called: Pain; the plight of fallen man written by James Halla MD.
It has helped me deal with my pain both in medical ways AND spiritual ways.

    In Christ,
    D.

  6. hey kari~
i've been following your blog for a little while now and am thankful for all you've shared amidst the suffering you've been enduring. my heart breaks that you have to carry this burden and i pray that you will find relief soon.

as far as my favorite book: i just read two that i enjoyed, not directly related to suffering- but related to contentment. "Overcoming Fear, Worry, and Anxiety" by Elyse Fitzpatrick and "Calm my Anxious Heart" by Linda Dillow.

    love,
